Reach has recently moved our headquarters inside a century-old historic brick building in Downtown Kissimmee, where we will be able to continue creating brands that people love in a building that was once known as the “handsomest structure in the city.” This historic building, located at
113 North Stewart Avenue, was the original home of the Kissimmee Valley Gazette, known today as the Osceola News-Gazette, currently located just down the street. The beauty of this structure, as well as previous achievements accomplished within this structure, proves that this building stands as a monument of progression to the city. In 1912, the need of Kissimmee was to establish a convenient home to produce the weekly paper. Now in 2018, the 13 member team at Reach will create our own progression within this new workspace for 21st-century inbound marketing techniques, reaching new heights in our new home.

Intern Series: How Reach prepared me for my marketing career

As the end of my junior year approached at Saint Mary's College, I wanted to gain some experience at a local marketing agency over the summer. My family had just relocated to Central Florida from the Midwest a few months prior, so I was unfamiliar with agencies in the area. While doing some extensive research, I came across Reach's website. I was immediately impressed by the professionalism, branding, and content throughout the website. After speaking with Kelly, the Chief Strategist, I knew this agency would be the perfect place for me to practice the skills I learned at Saint Mary's and grow professionally as I prepared to begin my career after graduation. 

I've learned so much at Reach about marketing the past couple of months. This is the second intern series blog, where you'll hear about what Reach is like through our eyes. Interning at an inbound agency can be overwhelming if you don't have much experience, but it can also be a rewarding opportunity that will challenge, inspire, and prepare you for the future. Why videos need to be included in your social media marketing strategy

No matter what type of product or service you're selling, social media can be a great tool to use in helping share your company's values, goods, or story. However, with Facebook's algorithm changes, brands have to be more strategic with how they put their content out on their social channels. For example, a best practice for posting on Facebook and Twitter is that you include a photo with your status update. As it turns out,  Socialbakers l ooked at more than 670,000 posts by 4,445 brand pages between October 2014 and February 2015 and found tha t video posts had an organic reach of 8.71% versus a reach of 3.73% for photo posts. Now wait, don't freak out and delete all your photo posts or create a job listing for a videographer. On the blog, I'll go over why your brand should start posting more videos on social media, some tips on how you can create engaging video content in-house and how to incorporate it into your social media marketing strategy.
